This service assists people who are experiencing financial difficulty or feel they are not receiving the payments they are entitled to. This is a free service available for people living within the City of Kalamunda.

Some of the things our financial counselling service can assist with are:

  • Advocacy Services

  • Keeping essential services connected such as power, gas and water

  • Advocate and negotiate in relation to housing issues

  • Negotiate with financial institutions, debt collectors, telephone/internet providers, and other creditors

  • Provide information and advocate about consumer rights

  • Improve budgeting and negotiation skills

  • Information about bankruptcy and early release of superannuation

  • Access to concessions and entitlements

  • Make appropriate referrals to legal services, emergency relief services, and other local services

  • WA No Interest Loan Scheme applications
